I’ve been on an orange kick lately (I don’t normally eat oranges), and I randomly googled oranges. I found this article in the Washington Post a few days ago about a bacterial infection plaguing oranges in Florida, huanglongbing. I’m guessing the price of oranges will go up. I was reminiscing recently about the best oranges I ever tasted. They were from a tree in the backyard of a friend of mine who lived off of Colonial Drive in Orlando. I had never tasted such a delicious orange before and haven’t since. This memory led me to recall that I had the best-tasting strawberries and tomatoes in Florida too–from the Winter Park farmers’ market.
