The Science of Umami, Monday, February 4, 2013, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., NYU Chemistry Department, Room 1003, 31 Washington Place, between Washington Square Park and Greene Street, Manhattan:  A workshop from the Experimental Cuisine Collective featuring Ole Mouritsen of the University of Southern Denmark on umami, or deliciousness.  It will explore umami in a historical,  evolutionary and scientific context.
