Holiday Windows

There is no time in New York City like the holidays.  The lights, the colors, the refreshing chill in the air.  It’s fun to check out all the Midtown magic like the tree at Rockefeller Center;

the holiday markets at Columbus Circle, Union Square and Bryant Park and the department store windows.  I really enjoyed the windows this year, as a lot of them were more traditional Christmas themes.  My favorites were Lord and Taylor’s, Saks and Bloomingdale’s.

1.  Lord and Taylor’s–these were adorable traditional Christmas scenes, including a lebkuchen maker.   This was the only food-related window.

2. Saks–children in winter scenes.

3. Bloomingdale’s–Cirque du Soleil.

4. Bergdorf Goodman–1920’s.

5. Macy’s–magic of Christmas.
