The Village Voice‘s Best of NYC 2011 is out this week. The “Eats and Treats” section has a column by Robert Sietsema called “We Are the World” with his recommendations for the best ethnic restaurants, including lesser-known cuisines like Guinean and Istrian. Lauren Shockey’s column, “City Eats from A to Z,” is a cool concept. It lists restaurants that have the “best use” of different ingredients like oysters, blood, kimchi, Velveeta, za’atar and more.
