I got a copy of the October 3, 2011 food issue of The Nation at the Brooklyn Book Festival at Borough Hall today. The festival was a great celebration of writers, publishers, book stores and readers. There wasn’t too much in the way of food books. One book store was selling the premiere issue of David Chang’s Lucky Peach magazine. The Recipe Project also had a booth. This interesting project sets the recipes of famous chefs to music–yes, you read that right. Some of the chefs include Mario Batali, Tom Colicchio and David Chang. And of course, what outdoor event would be complete without food trucks. I had a three-cheese grilled cheese sandwich at the Food Freaks Grilled Cheese truck.
