New Taste of the Upper West Side is this Friday and Saturday, May 20th and 21st on the Upper West Side in New York. Friday night from 7-10 pm is Comfort Classics where UWS chefs remake classic recipes. Ellie Kreiger of the Food Network will be one of the chefs, as will John Fraser of Dovetail and many others. Dylan Lauren of Dylan’s Candy Bar and Adam Richman of Travel Channel’s Man v Food are hosting the event. Tickets are $85. Best of the West is Saturday, May 21st from 7-9:30 pm. This event will honor Dana Cowin, Editor-in-Chief of Food & Wine. Tickets are $125. The event includes 40 chefs from the UWS, including Daniel Boulud, Bruce Bromberg of Blue Ribbon Sushi, John Fraser of Dovetail, Jesus Nunez of Graffit, Jacques Torres, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Bill Telepan, and Terrance Brennan of Picholine as well as others.
